I've listened to a lot of comments from those who have invested in the conversion to Brembo brakes, but who continued to use DOT5 fluid.
I'm sold on the reliability of staying with DOT5 when converting to Brembo brakes, but I'm curious as to what the recommendations are for the clutch reservoir. If I'm not mistaken, the reservoir cap on the Brembo clutch reservoir also says to use DOT4 fluid only. Can DOT5 fluid be used here as well? Anything to be aware of?
A lot of people have talked about staying away from DOT4 (even with Brembo brakes) in order to avoid possible paint damage. This would seem pointless if there was still a chance DOT4 fluid could seep from the clutch reservoir. I would think that anyone using DOT5 on the brake side would do the same on the clutch side, but haven't seen any comments to this effect. Am I wrong here?
Thx...Qman
