I guess if we had a local V-rodder who owned a Sonic, we'd have a Sonic night. And if we had a local V-Rodder who owned a strip club, we'd have a ...well you get the idea! We get to have an awesome ride and sushi night! Me? I'm all for eating "cut bait" any chance I get!

Shots Fired

V-Rod "Hey, no comments required, just stray ramblings" "Sushi Night", HMMMMMM!!!! Just don't seem right. A bit TOO "Off Shore". I would expect something like this with the Road Star Warrior guys.
:stilpoke:

Well you can't fire shots and post a title of no comments. :slap:

I like good steak and good fish rare. If ain't good then you can cook the hell out of it. We have the good fortune of having a member that is a preparer of good fish in the raw. :thumb:

So come on out and try some of Vince's cuisine before you knock it. :2cents:

No shots Tom, Just a flare, you know, goes up and fizzles out. Not knocking it, just don't want any.
I'm sure my wife would love Vince's place, as for me I don't drink enough anymore to put raw stuff in my mouth. Don't like how I feel the next morning.
I'm sure you get great FRESH raw fish in SoCal.
I'm not sure that raw channel cat sounds appetising to you. Of course we have some other fresh local delicacies that I also steer clear of, Mountain Oysters anyone?
Oh and basically I felt "Sushi" just sounded un-American.

Hey Guys,

We'll decide where ever we want to go when we get to Starbucks. Angeles Crest sounds just fine for me too. All I want to do is having a great ride with my fellow V-Rodders.

Just try to be there before 2 pm so you can have some coffee. We'll leave around 2:15.

See you!

Vince

p.s. RC4Man anytime you are in town, you are more than welcome to join us :) and see how great multi-cultural-society is.

I'd have to agree, but...

Don't get me wrong, though it never crosses my lips my wife is quite partial to "cut bait" and we go quite often to the local hibachi grill/sushi bar where at least I can get something passed over the flame.
Now I've heard other guys speak of "Sonic Cruise" night, and a friend of mine who used to be in a Taurus SHO group had their meetings at "SHO"ney's so I understand the themaeic approach.
It's just that I would expect a steak house or something, of course I realise it is SoCal and red meat along with nuke power plants have a bad rep.
Oh well, guess I'll have to ponder it some more.
HMMMM!!!
Done, nope just don't seem right.
Hey rc4man
Right on! I was waiting for someone outside of Cali to notice the posts and say something! Don't mis-read what I'm saying, though. I love going to Vince's Sushi house on these bike nights. MMMM yummy! Good food and good people. But I did mention to my buddy more than once that there has to be some other forum members who see the "Sushi Bike Night" and think it's a bit off. Hell, even I think it's funny! But overall I believe it's a perfect part of the whole V-Rod thing: The V-Rod's not your grandfather's Harley, and gramps never did like sushi much...

Hey guys, hopefully I'll be there at Starbuck's on Sunday, but Sunday is usually reserved for the wife and the Packers. I'll see what I can do, though!

Are you :stilpoke: again? I don't feel un-American :biker: when I am out eating Japanese, Italian, Greek, Mexican, German, or Indian Cuisine. Seems like it's all American to me :thumb: . Just like all the folks that emigrated here to be Americans. I am glad they brought all them good recipes

Hey, So Cal Sushi People:

The weather up at Newcomb's Ranch has been perfect lately. It should continue to be so tomorrow. However, we must keep in mind that we will be at appox. 6000 feet. I would urge all who plan on attending to dress appropriately! It will be in the low to mid 50's when we get there.

Just a heads up from your friend,
Mark.

Vince, I was thinking the same thing. However, I ride to work all the time in the low 40's without chaps. They may be overkill. I just don't know yet. I guess we'll see when I show up tomorrow!!

Mark.

Oh yeah...it's a BEAUTIFUL day! A perfect day for riding and sushi! I'll bringing a friend! She and I will see y'all at the Pasadena Starbucks by 2!!!

Great ride ladies and gentlemen, a little on the cold side at 5000 feet with some snow on the ground but who's counting. I left my house and it was 70 plus, we get to Pasadena and it's even hotter. As soon as we ascend it blows through my mesh jacket. Freezing, who am I to complain you east coasters ride in cold all the time. It would have been fine if I'd had my leather on. Oh well, great ride, great friends, and great food, makes for a perfect day in my book. Great to me some new friends, mdrsteve AKA Steve and his lovely lady who's name I can't remember, and RDHWS Tom and Lee, great people with great bikes. He is a fire rescue guy and she is a rescue down handler, great team. Hope we can do a Rock Store/Neptunes Net ride next.

I had the best time everyone :D

Nice to meet you Tom & Leigh. Great to know a fire fighter, we have a hero in our team :)

Steve, dont forget to post the pictures.

HOG-RD, we will begin to do this meet & ride on every 2nd Sunday of the month, so the next one will be Jan 9th, 2005.

Vince

What a great ride!! It was a blast meeting and riding with all of you! (and Vince, the sushi was superb!) I'll post some pics tonight!

Rock Store/Neptune's sounds good to me! If we go by Second Sunday of the month, that'd be Sunday, January 9th! Does that work for everyone?
:vrod:

It was a great ride. The sun setting on the mountains on the way down was just down right purty! The sushi was outstanding, too. Thanks Vince! The ride home back over the Angeles was a good one. The mountains lit up by the moon were just spectacular. Good food, good friends and fast bikes. Yes, life IS grand!

Living the good life,
Tom & Lee
