Carbon Fiber helmets....anyone have one?

Love mine. I don't wear it nearly as much as when I rode my Road King (I normally wear FF with the DX), but it's the lightest, most comfortable helmet I've ever worn. Held up pretty well over 5 years of heavy riding. I have the polo style.

I've had mine for a couple years now and I love it. Expensive and a long wait before it arrives but worth the wait. They are semi-custome made so you have to order it. I lock up my helmet so it doesnt walk away.

i have one from carbon fiber helmets. i bought the Polo one - DO NOT BUY THE POLO version. it practically rips my head off. Due to the constant re-adjusting the helmet to pull it back on the top of my head the inner shell has loosened up. i also put a quick release connector on it too - i hate that as much as the visor. overall, i hate my helmet. would a buy a non polo version? yes! i like the sleek look.

I have a carbon fiber helmet, while not dot it is still better then nothing at all and ten times stronger then the novelty helmets.

I was in the same boat! I tried numerous half helmets, they all felt, and looked like crap, major mushroom head...... try the head trip helmets you won't be sorry! I am using the non-dot approved one, (read the info. on the head trip sight!) I do not feel poorly protected with it! If you feel better with a dot appoved, theirs is only a bit bigger then the non! I seem to remember calling an order in and requesting a discount for being a forum member, (Like 10% if my brain is still working!), I don't know if they still do, but it might be worth a call!

I have the ACC/head trip half helmet non DOT, it is awesome. It passed all the DOT tests except the penetration test. Extremely light and almost as small as a true skid lid.

For winter I have my HJC carbon fiber full face, which I also love. Very light.

ok, so i have been toying with the idea of these from http://www.carbonfiberhelmets.com/dothelmets.htm# for quite some time now.. we are now under an official DOT rule here in NC and it sucks. I am not going to wear your typical mushroomhead. I have worn a novelty for too long to switch out. I have heard that these DOTs are very small, just slightly larger than a novelty and a lot smaller than a traditional DOT. can anyone verify this?
