Well anyone that knows me will tell you that I am a pretty calm and collected guy. Very mellow more or less. This has changed today with my dealings with the MOCO or should I say the lack thereof.
My cases were sent out to be machined on March 10th for the SE 1250 big bore sleeves. The instructions written by HD specifically state that case machining turn around is 2 weeks. See Exhibit A Line 29 below. Well, March 10th and April 22nd do not = 2 weeks. This is the 7th week that they have had them to be machined. I have had my local shop that sent them out on the phone yesterday and today trying to get answers and schedules.
Today I get a call saying that he spoke with the POS Manager (Sorry, that means Point-of-Sale Manager) and they were scheduled to be machined and sent on the 27th. Hmmm, that is a Sunday I smell BS. Someone did not think that one through. On top of this, my dealership contact was told by this person that I must be lying to him because there is no where that states 2 weeks and that it is a 35 day lead time. Again, please see Exhibit A Line 29 below. My contact agreed that this is a complete insult to both him and I.
I understand that they try to wait for multiples to save on setup time and costs but they have had at least 2 cases sitting there. I know others have waited 4 weeks or so and that would be fine with me. I know how it is to perform cost savings but NOT at the cost of customer service. This is getting ridiculous now and I am out of patience.
Please, if you are lying do NOT put it in the print of the very guide that will be used to assemble it!!!
I am a college graduate but I have never taken H-Daveglish which must allow one word to be converted into any d@mn word they want it to.
So now I sit with this 35 day lead time that I know is BS because another member for this forum has had his cases there for approximately 3 weeks longer than mine. See, 35 days must actually mean 56 days right?
So what is my advice to others? AVOID the 1250 BB kits like the plague. Get yourself some aftermarket sleeves and send your case to DA Fitzgerald for machining where the work will be done by a V-Rodder with V-Rod speed. All my dealings with Scott (ohioVrod) has been top notch.
Sorry for the rant but I am at the end of my string with this. It was 70 today and I need to get this thing together. I try to give excellent customer service and only expect a little back.
