you love hammering mr. luxlamf, cool, me too. ok, the X is on a whole different class than the nrs. it commemorates a victory, a point where a few people with a V-rod took it to higher levels, the people who did this have a lot more interesting thoughts than you do, were you dropped when you were born, or just neglected? :) , The X has the number 1 on the Fake gas tank IN HONOR of what Vn'H did with it. your thoughts or words can never take that away from them, The nrs is just a passing fase, it is cool ride, being black and all,

I have an 07 Night Rod Special and my riding friend has an 06 Screaming Eagle --- with over 4,000 miles on my Night Rod --- and ridden the Screaming Eagle often --- minimal difference in the ride or engine. Bottom line --- if you're a chrome guy --- go for the Eagle --- if you like the cool look --- go for the Night Rod Special

The thread is a bout a '07 Screamin' eagle which has very little chrome, The X.
So if you love black get a DX, Extraordinary people are amazed that the "CARTOON" X is a Harley

There is no 07 screamin eagle just an 07 CX with the words screamin eagle on the bike. There were only two years for SEs 05 and 06. Definitely worth the difference if you want to be noticed in both the day and the night.

Man is this X vs. SE crap still going on? We both got ripped, I paid too much for a paint job and a "not so special anymore laced front wheel", the SE guys paid too much for a bunch of made in China chrome add-ons and 1000 lb. wheels. Now you can get an AW for much less than we paid, with ABS and a slipper clutch that still has the 1250 in it. I like my bike, I like the eagle on it too, I like SEs too, but let's not act like either of us has something better than the other, we all got jipped actually and in-fighting amongst ourselves isn't going to change it :moon:

Mine shall officially be known as the 07 X screamin eagle AW with the 1250 a year early for 3000 extra dollars but no ABS. aka XSEAW1250+3000-ABS

Get the **** over yourself.

If it was me right this second looking to buy a new one. I wouldn't by either a DX or an X, I'd buy a new AW, because I like the silver frame and DXs are becoming a little too popular. Buy an AW and get the skins custom painted however you want and have something really original. just my .02

[/SIZE]ahhh, If we could go back and correct our mistakes,
but we cant, so why would anyone buy a CVO, or a special edition bike, or car, or boat, I, As you , As anyone that goes this route does it to get a bike a little different than the others, or a couple different parts, or a different paint scheme, etc...BTW, did you know how much a cool paint job costs,
anyway, The VRSCX IS NOT A CVO, but it is a screamin' eagle, We paid that much more money because of the cool paint, and the extra parts inside, And your right this years model has almost all of what we paid extra for, as in next years model will most likely offer more for less,
all i know is maybe, just maybe in the future that 3000 bucks more And the Number one on the tank just might pay itself ten fold, as with those few lucky CVO owners are hoping to do with theirs, That is..... If it lasts that long

I'm actually not considering it a mistake, I love my bike and wouldn't trade it even up for an 08 AW right now, but convincing one's self that they have some elite machine because the Moco says so (by charging a bunch more money) is ridiculous. If Harley made it and it's stock, it blows IMHO, you gotta make it yours with your own mitts, then you have something to brag about.

I took option "C".
I bought a B for much less and used the money I saved as a down payment on a Softail..............now I enjoy the best of both worlds. Life is good.

yeah, that i know. i have almost complete my list of changes, the guages gotta go, missing only the speedo which is OTW, then i fix the front, raceteck sprinds etc.., 5in. tach and shift light. speedo on the side, somewhere, then i pay attension to the rear, I probally will go with the Penske's shocks and am thinking to fit a 260 tire.I really dont like the rear fender and will probally fabricate a new one, i will wait to move the plate to the side, get rid of all that ugly black shit their, and put the tire on before i decide, the motor will remain stock untill 2009,
I dont really think i will go with the slipper clutch, i love to downshift in corners and feel the rear wheel lose it, Next pay day i Will get the VnH speed shifter, That I really want, I would love to find CF wheels too, but no one makes them yet,

Lux...That's bungee cord free no luggage rack pumpkin head to you. Loose the luggage rack and bungees before you start talking smack. That thing looks like a hermaphrodite, like it tried to form into a bagger, but it's mother smoked during pregnancy and it didn't quite develope properly. If you have a kid born with both organs and neither one's quite right, fer christs sake, make a choice and get the doctor to cuttin', it shouldn't be both. It'll be doin freakish fetish porn on the internet when it grows up otherwise.
