Hi,

What is the purpose of the clutch washer and button mod posted in the how to section?

Link works fine here...:

" This clutch modification changes the point of clutch engagement. By moving the slave cylinder out with washers or by shaving the "contact button" in the lifter plate bearing the clutch will release later (lever movement increases before the clutch begins to slip). Conversely, as you let up on the clutch lever it will engage sooner.

This mod is intended to remedy problems some people experienced with a slipping clutch. Increasing the gap between the actuator and the lifter plate insured that the piston didn't bottom out before the clutch plates had fully closed when the clutch lever was released."
