So both my headers nuts took off

I rode the bike today and I heard it was louder and was backfiring. Come home and I see that both left and right nuts are missing. First thing what size nuts are those so I can go pick them up and should I locktite or is it not going to work bec of high temps?

Also do i need a gasket before i screw the flange nuts back in place?

Alternative: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-M8-1-25-C...ss!07036!US!-1
Gasket may be still ok.

Thanks got the nuts didn't have a torque wrench so approx the force did not over tighten just made sure the flange is flush and it seems to be working. I did get very little amount of white smoke from the exhaust that went away after a few seconds. Did check the oil to make sure and it looks and feels good.

Now as i was down there any way i though to check my exhaust cover bolts and make sure they are all tight and have loctite so i removed the covers at which point i noticed one of the bolt/holder that is welded to the exhaust is broken. I bought something called epoxy steels puddy that is suppose to go on as puddy and harden but that didn't happen for me. Is there any other option other than getting it welded back on?

Afraid not, would recommend mig & spotweld. You have to make it better than stock..

To keep them from backing off, I use SS M8 serrated flange nuts in place of the stock exhaust nuts. You can also use a thin M8 jam nut if there is enough exposed tread.

On my sled I use Nord-Lock washers to keep the exhaust manifold on. http://www.swfastener.com/pdf/Nord-Lock_Washers.pdf
