I agree with Ron, your module is working as it should but you need to reorient the module to the original orientation relative to the long dimension of the module.
You don't mention what year or model bike you have so I can't say what way you need to mount it. Harley uses two types of TSM/TSSM/HFSM modules, "Z" and "Y". The "Z" type must have the long dimension parallel to the bike. These were used on 2002 to 2006 VRSC models except the VRSCR. The "Y" type must have the long dimension perpendicular to the bike. These were used on 2007 and newer VRSC bikes.
