Boom Audio Install

I am trying to install a boom audio handlebar mounted speaker system on my 2013 Nightrod Special and was wondering if anyone has ever installed these on any of their Vrods I assume the installation should be the same if not very similar on most Vrods other than the Muscle. The install direction suck in general but dont talk about the Vrod at all so any directions or help would be greatly appreciated. I have already mounted the speakers on the handle bars and as for the handle bar controll piece I am just going to get longer screws to mount it but the rest I seem to be struggling with.

Same as above, I'd love pics and a review but I can be of no help . I'd love speakers but was under the impression the lack of fairing makes them useless at cruising speeds.

Does the boom system use an external amp? I installed the Lanzar system on my 03. I can supply the some pics and let you know how I wired everything but the Lanzar system is plug and play with the Harley wiring harness. I chose to just turn the amp up and skip the install of the handle bar controls and just use my phone for volume control

I finished installing everything this morning and everything works great. I will post pics later tonight after work. Have not had a chance to take her on the highway yet so I will let you know about sound at higher speeds but I think the way I have it mounted should still sound good.

I put one of these systems on my wife's Sportster a couple weeks ago... It was a fairly easy and straight forward install even though I mounted the amp in a different location than was intended. The wiring was pretty easy... only had to splice into one wire for switched power. I mounted the controls on the left side instead of the right so they are upside down but it is way easier to use them... not sure why they wanted them on the throttle side to begin with.

It's not really my thing but she loves it and says she has no problem hearing it even on the hi-way... she does have a fairing... For those who want music and don't mind having speakers mounted to the handlebars I would say this system works well.

The wiring was not finished yet when this picture was taken....

Hmm... Wonder of those would fit under the "fairing" on a D-model...

My Lanzar system is good up to 70-75 unless it is a real windy day. I ride without a windshield and d&d fatcat 2to1. I've been on my buddy's 2013 road glide and when you get to 75 you can't hear the system much better especially seeing its a $130 system.
