Someone please buy an Akropovic Exhaust

Anyone got a picture of them running one on a bike with Mid controls. My muscle has mids and not sure it will fit I have seen one pic with the mid cover on the pipe under the mids removed but I would like to hear from someone who can give feedback of what the install and issues are with these pipes.

There is a photo of a yellow '06 R with the Akro system on another thread here. I asked the Akro reps at Laguna Seca if it will fit an R and they claim it will but the bottom bracket has to be modded a bit or a new one fabbed up. It is not a big bracket. They also told me their pipe will bolt to a D with no modification. If you want to wait till I do one it won't be till next year however. I just emptied the piggy bank on cams and big bore TBs. Sorry.

I am more curious to know how you finagled mid controls on an F? At one time while considering a faired and hard bagged R sport touring bike I was kicking around the idea of F headers with Supertrapp or Yoshimura cans for saddlebag clearance, but as far as I could tell the left pipe interferes with mid controls, especially the shift linkage. I would really love to see some photos of your set up.

Philthy i believe you are talking about gapfast he just pm,d me so i will let you know. Re your question below is a link to my build thread almost back together just got to sort the exhaust, tuner and race dash. I have dumped the dual pipes thats why the mids went on with no problems. Having said that theres not an abundance of exhausts that now fit with mids. I originally bought a vance and hines competition but it apperas the new design has lifted the pipe to give more clearance but it fouls the mids as well. In any case ill keep you posted.
Heres the link to my build
