Looked at it when in the garage to get a ladder, decided to wait with the headlight install until my other parts on order arrives...

Went for a short ride, then came home and put it on the battery tender. It's going to be in the low 30s in the morning so I'll drive the truck to work.

Rode over to Atlanta HD for a swap meet. Picked up a tail light for $5 bucks and a windsheild bag for $5 bucks. Was a good day!

took out the motor (I mean engine. I should know the difference. A motor uses power and an engine makes power)

Taking out the motor is a pretty intense thing to do, I think oil changes sound challenging enough *lol*

There is a local dealer here that does 25% off one day a month, so I got it for 300. I really like the light output, it is a hundered times better than the stock DX light. On cool days I seem to have a fogging issue, but it doesnt affect the operation at all. It was worth it to me as I like it.

Should run a bead of silicone around the seem when you can dry it out. I have had that problem before with aftermarket lights and it eventually gets moldy looking and nasty. 25percent off sounds worth it to me!!

Nothing due to snow/sleet/freezing rain.

Ill take it out over the winter and see if there is anything I can do, but I believe it's sealed. Everyone riding with me says the light is more noticable now, I would buy it again.

Put a little over 100 miles on today...........Almost 1K, then comes my BUB7 2-1 and TMAX, and some bar end mirrors of some sort because the stock DX mirrors only seem to give me a nice view of my shoulders no matter how I adjust them. Will be ready for early spring..........

I'm leani9ng towards the ones that Sharkey is supposed to have a group purchase on, but I'm having second thoughts....dunno if the Jokers that curve up might be better for viewing. BUT I do like the looks of the others better. Wish I knew someone that had both kinds..........
