schnitz 3020 shift light

Hello Vrodders
I am going to install a shift light on this thing. I get so tired of hitting that rev limiter in the middle of my adrenaline rush when competing or riding hard at times. So this particular light says it can hook up to my ignition system. I am going to contact them in a bit, but I just want to see if anyone could help. So where do I connect it. Is it the sense wire that goes to ecm? Or the coil wire that also goes to ecm. Or is their a tach terminal. (2012 dx)

Well I got it. The correct wire is the coil wire, not the ion sense wire. And of course the battery wire. These are the two green coloured wires on the rear coil.

Angelo is most certainly the guy you need to talk to. If you are on fb look his site up. Dutchcustomled he ALWAYS responds. He makes either DIY kits or send him your gaugeset. Custom LED's, shiftlight, set at any RPM you like, and / or GPI. Gear position indicator. Granted, that is not necessary, but I had him do it to mine. Not because I need it, rather I believe HD should have done it. Even if you only have questions, he will answer.

The only thing is you cant let water in it. But it works very well. Since I have it already set I will cover the adjustment area with black silicone.
