Chrome's cheaper than paint. Go figure.

Cheapest I found the part was for $47.86 before shipping, where did you find the visor at $36 that you had mentioned?

Try Newcastle H-D online. Search by part number.

Yeah, that's where I found it for $47.86 and I had posted the link to it at Newcastle H-D Online in my previous post above yours. They must have increased the price from what you had mentioned it was a few months ago.

You need two of these bolts (H-D calls them screws): 10200078. They shouldn't be more than about $1.50 each.

As for spacers, if you're using Budman's, no spacers required. If you are not using Budman's, you'll have to fabricate/figure out your own as they don't exist.

Nice job. Most things on the muscle have to be fab'd or find something that fits. It's like we're the red headed step child of the vrods...... aside from the street rod, and I don't mean the "new" 750 street rod

Does anyone know if this visor will work with the stock HD F Model Windshield?
This is p/n 69236-04 correct?

Not sure what you're asking since a) this is a zombie thread (at least the first part) and b) the thread sort of talks about two different visors.

If you're talking about the chrome one that sticks out, I'd imagine it would work with the shield, but no guarantees. If you're talking about the DX visor, yes it will work, but you need to modify the lower mounting brackets for the shield.

R,

Ya the chrome one that sticks out p/n 69236-04.
It seems hard to believe the DX Visor would work with the windshield..

Sorry, no personal knowledge of the "chrome one that sticks out" with the F shield.

I had one on for a few days and didn't like the look. I liked the late-model DX visor much better with the Budman's riser.

And YES, the late-model DX visor (not the "chrome one that sticks out", but the one that goes over the top of the headlight) works just fine on the F with the shield-- as long as you use fabricate new, longer brackets for the lower mounts.

That's how I've had it set up on my bike for the past several years.

Feel free to disbelieve at your discretion.

R.

Follow link to see pictures of F shield on F w/ DX visor. You can see how the lower brackets need to be fabricated:

I have a 2011 Muscle. Bought the HD chrome visor. The part book said it would fit the vrod but did not list the F. Took, about 5 minutes to install. It is a tight fit but went on fine. Now it shields the head lamp so I don't get a glowing windshield. Click image for larger version
