Bike won't start, red key icon stays on
Ok so was an a accident about 3 months ago, due to my wheels being jacked up I haven't been able to ride it but I would start it up here and there. While I've been waiting for new parts I've taken some parts off that were going to be replaced like the led mirrors (I'll explain the relevancy in a bit) and I have started it after I removed them with no problem. So I was going to replace the turn signal housing (right side) but wasn't able to take it off, so I decided to replace the turn signal button to a extended turn signal button with no luck but I wasn't able to put back the old button back on so I left alone since I was going to a shop to put on a set of raked trees and new handlebars so I figured I would ask then to put on the new housing and turn signal button back on. So since my appointment is tomorrow I figured I would test drive the bike before I try to ride it 10 miles away to the shop to make sure everything was ok, mind you I haven't ridden the bike since the accident 3 months ago, I just installed the new wheels and exhaust so I wasn't able to start it up for awhile,... and it wouldn't start. It had started every other time before then. I read somewhere if the turn signals or led lights were malfunctioning it could cause the bike not to start but I have started the bike when I removed the led mirrors, the last thing I did was not being able to put the turn signal button back on. Ever since then it wouldn't start. I have power, I can see the gauges light up, fuel pump primes but when i hit start nothing happens but the red key icon stays on. Does it have anything to do with the turn signal button? I read it could be the key fob but it does recognize it during proximity because it does chirp and light the turn signals and flashes the red key fob, but as soon as I try and hit start it turns the red key icon to solid, any ideas..... and sorry for the long post.
