Anybody recognise this exhaust?

Hi All,

I get the beauty in the picture this week and I cannot wait. One of the first jobs on my todo list is to get a new exhaust, but whilst looking I realised nowhere have I seen the exhaust already fitted?

I know it's a vance and hines, but I assume they don't make this one anymore?

Just wondered if anyone had any ideas.

Yeah that’s a Vance and Hines, don’t remember the model even though I bought one about 6 months ago. Good exhaust, not to loud and makes good power. I shortened mine about 2.3” by cutting the end of the straight pipe near the swing arm pivot point. Cut the heat shield too. They were for sale out of California on eBay for around $400.

As stated, that's the Vance & Hines 2 into 1 for the Street Rod and Night Rod. I don't believe it had any other name than that-- it is *not* the Competition exhaust.

Excellent exhaust overall for the bike. I had it on my R and really liked it-- especially when compared to the boat anchor H-D laughing calls a stock exhaust.

The bike did very well with it, as long as you spent a bit of time with a dyne tune and fuel controller adjustment (I used the Power Commander V, but there are other options out there now).

The exhaust shipped with mounting hardware for both bikes. As I recall, there was only a single different bracket between the mounting on the Street Rod and the Night Rod.

Personally? I don't think you'll find a much better exhaust for the bike. It was light, gave good gains, and didn't look bad on the bike (although I'll admit it took me a week or two to warm up to it).

This space reserved for future use.

Thanks for all the info!

Apparently it was part of a stage 1 completed by HD by the previous owner.

Perhaps it will grow on me but I would definitely prefer a blacked out exhaust like the Vance & Hines 2 into 1 comp. But reading reports on this forum they don't stay black for long....
