Feeler, sell my 06 VRSCR, 7500 miles. How much?

I am trying to get an idea of what a ballpark range for a fair asking price for my bike. My brother tipped it over standing there, so there are just a few dings on the exhaust. Other than that, shes in pretty good shape. Brake and clutch covers are losing their paint, no surprise of course. Thanks in advance. Located in southern NH and has been in a heated basement over the winters.

These bikes are getting harder to give away. I’d be surprised if you get $6500. There is a blue one in Detroit that was for sale all last summer for $7500 with less than 10k miles, and I see it listed again this spring.

Between $4500 and $6500. You could always ask more and come down if needed.

Lately I too have been toying with the idea of selling mine. The sad and sorry truth is that V-Rods and the VRSCR model in particular were never popular. I purchased mine in 2010 for $7999 with ~8000 miles on the odometer. Have over 30,000 on it now and while we know that isn't high miles for these bikes, most buyers are hesitant to pay a lot for a bike with that mileage especially since V-Rods were dropped from production by the factory.

Nightrods seem to command a higher dollar. The 180 tire Vrods and the R are the worst.

On the flip side, for buyers, they are about the best bargain out there.

I think Dealerships ask a higher price than Private Sales.
These dealers are asking 5,999 and 6999 for bikes comparable to yours.

Re: "Nightrods seem to command a higher dollar."
Hmm.
Bought my 06 D NightRod in 2016 w/9k miles, for $5,000.
Needed Tires. I think I did good.
Low, Cobalt Blue, Chrome Heads, 10 Spoke Alum. Wheels, BackRest. Luggage Rack,Tail Bag. etc.
Fast.. Duh!

IMHO: You're 06 R w/7500 miles, (Stock)? with some wear, and a Rarish
Model, no?
Still worth close to 5,000...
I would list it in Craig's list for $5,750 you might get lucky and find someone under
6' tall who wants to go Mid Pegs and MotoGp the hell outta the thing!
especially if the the buyer knows what they are looking at.

I think the "Mid Pegs like your R and my D are kind of special, and less were produced.
I'd talk that up.

BTW: I bought a 2nd Brake Pedal and had it Modded (lowered) and now I can keep my foot on the peg where I want it w/o dragging the brake.

Snowman, that bike has a lot more miles to go. What are you thinking of replacing it with. Just curious.

Bought my 2003 with 2200 miles in ‘15 for $5800. These are great bikes, really can’t believe how under-appreciated they are...

GLWS...

You’re probably better off keeping it. That thing is still new inside! I agree with the money but would say lower like 5k since it has blemishes. Think of how it looks to someone buying, you know they talk you down when everything is perfect!!

I sold my 'R' about 3 years ago for $ 4500, seriously thinking about buying another.
Also had VRSCDX, wouldn't go that that route again.

I've had mine listed for the last several months at 7500, only one genuine looker, a guy in Tucson with an 03 looking to go to mid controls. I dropped the price this week to 6500 to see if anyone will bite, but I live in Bagger country apparently; everyone seems to want the C-130 instead of the F-16.

I took it out yesterday for the first time since December, goodgawdamighty this is a fun machine in the mountain twisties! I should probably just keep it, now that I've got the engine guards on it. We'll see. Here's the ad:

Nice Speedo mod.
Ya I bet it's a fun model!
Did you do the slipper clutch yourself?
How much did the replacement cost you?
Thx!

Cult bike

I was looking into doing some fleet reorganization a month ago. My dealer buddy who has been in the business for 35 years told me not to sell it. It is worth way more than I would get. He believes it will come back around and be desirable. Who knows...........just my 2 cents.
