I flush and fill the cooling system every 2 years or so.
Figure that's a crucial system.
Do you think that is over doing it?
Thx

I'm aware of the Factory Spec and that the fluid is called "Lifetime"
I'm interested in others opinions on how they maintain the coolant system.

My last 3 bikes where liquid cooled and seeing as it is mission critical for engine health
I fully flush the system more often than "recommended"
Fluid and distilled water cost about $20.00
I have a real-time Temp Gauge on my PV, so I can keep an eye on it anyway.

But I am curious on how other owners deal with it re. FOD, the loss of metal protection properties in the fluid over time on the Radiator, Water Pump and other parts.

I bought those emblems from the Porsche dealer. Actually they were part of a leather key chain. I removed the emblems form the chain and used 3M sticky tape to mount them to the engine.

Very entertaining thread, LL Cool K.

My bitcoin worth = the VRod is a Harley-Davidson.

Collaborations with other companies on design elements do not supersede the brand, heritage, or the blood, sweat, and tears shed on the manufacturing line the end product rolled off.

American made? You prefer an overseas branding/badge? Then start sticking Takata Japan badges on your "LuvMerica Made" metal.

I'm changing mine every two years regardless of what Harley says. I don't let the coolant sit that long in my cars with aluminum engines, the V-rod is no different.
Coolant can turn acidic with age and start to corrode the aluminum. I've taken one too many heads off that needed to be machined or trashed from coolant damage.

I'll be switching my V-Rod over to the Mercedes coolant since that's what I have on hand for my cars. It's a private label version of Zerex G-05
