Speedo Housing Question

Hello,

I want to know if I can fit the VRSCA speedo in the VRSCF (71959-09) housing. If it fits which bezel do I have to use.

Thank you

Speedo will fit in the housing, but the shape of the VRSCF bezel will not line up with the gauges and it is the only bezel to fit that housing. Better off using the VRSCF Speedo as well.

Thank you for the reply.
The VRSCF speedo will plug into my VRSCA and the gauges and instrument panel lights will work or do I need to modify the connector.

Plug and play. If youre hunting down a "F" cluster try get one without abs lamp function,
disconnecting that abs lamp has to be done inside the cluster by "pros".
Pricey stuff those V-rod clusters, if youre on the low end of scale you could modify
the "A"-bezel to fit as a temporary solution matching "F" house and "A" cluster.
The "F" cluster below belong to my "DX" and was modified by Angelo some yrs back. It has since then been modified again few moons back but thats top secret..

Thank you for your advice Knut. You have helped me nearly every time I have posted and I appreciate it as the info you pass along is always spot on.

Funny enough I had this question because I saw your post from a while back and want to achieve about the same thing.

https://www.1130cc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=423850

I contacted Angelo (DutchLED) yesterday as I would like to do the LED customization on the speedo I am just waiting on a reply. I just wanted to be sure that the parts I purchase would all work together. I will be going with the VRSCF cluster/housing/bezel and making a custom bracket to mount the housing.

Thank you for your help.

I have been looking for some handlebar options also. I need to know what the height and pullback of the OEM VRSCA risers should be. I know the VRSCA risers and bar are 1 piece. But if I were to purchase risers that would be in the same position as the OEM what should the measurements be. Iím looking at achieving this (Angelos Bike from old post) but with the ability to change handle bars if needed. Where would be the best place to purchase these from.

The other option Would be to use the same bars as in the pic. In the post he was using what looked like the stock VRSCA handle bars but the weld marks were chromed over. Did he chrome the handlebars or am I making a mistake and they are a different set of handlebars ?

Thank you

If you are having the led kit done by Angelo then he will sort out the abs light, but if you are buying his kit and installing it yourself then the abs light is a very simple fix, just unsolder and remove the led. Works perfectly and really easy.

That led mod looks amazing! I can’t find the price on the webpage, does anyone know what the kit costs? I don’t mind doing it myself, so just the led broad. Thanks!

I always had a weird feeling over the stock clambshell.. but because i could not find an better option I removed the housing and with a dremel I first smoothed the welds and then polished theme. it was a huge PITA job bot had nothing to loose.
The bars are oem HD 'dragbars' for the early model..
The plate you see is just a bend piece of stainless i formed. the bolts also hold the bracket for the housing. The housing is a Muscle housing i stripped the paint off and polished.
Of coarse because i rebuild gauges i did put my own Fgauge in it with Shiftlight and Gearindicator
i wanted to move it a bit higher over the center of the bar but the connector is there so i left it like that

Thanks for getting back to me with the info. The setup you have looks great!!! Trying to achieve something similar. Knut has been really helpful and also recommended your mods.
Tried contacting you on the website for a quote on what I need done on the gauge, but it kept failing. What is the best way to contact you regarding the gauge mods.

Thank you

I sent an email to you before I looked at your Facebook page. I don’t have Facebook, but I could see all of the options. Now that I’ve seen the blacked out version with the gear indicator I think that is what I would be interested in or the price on just the standard gauge LED overlay! Can you pm me here? Thanks!
