Price I have no doubt about. I believe the original kit was almost $1000 USD or so depending on where you got it (I know it was mostly an import item from Italy).
As for not fitting....with OEM exhaust yes. With aftermarket 2-1 exhaust I don't see much issues (I have a set in hand that I am installing as a reference right now). I know Rick mentioned frame issues, so I will measure/check that (in the lower position if I read right). I know the shifter side might need a Belleville washer to "move it out" so to speak, but as I said I'll verify that when I install this.
In reference to further back...I actually like that aspect as it gives a bit sportier position in terms of body control. Then again, I'm 5' 9.75" (certified by the US Army...and yes you know I'm short when I have to state the 3/4 of an inch...) so just based on my quick mock up I would say this is a vertically challenged rider's product (I have a Muscle with the reduced reach parts and I'm OK, not great with the reach in terms of controls).
At any rate, we can modify the design to accommodate any peculiarities we find.
Could we produce it cheaper than the original? I am sure of it. My concern is that this is a cruiser bike by design and this might be reaching to try and turn the bike into something its not (albeit a change my stature would appreciate).
More comments/thoughts welcome. Spread the word. I DO know when the Rizoma's come up for sale they don't last long!
