S/C Gear Ratio

Hello all tech heads,

I'm currently working out the Rotrex S/C RPM on the standard Holy-Moto gear ratio set-up.

Supplied gears;
32 x 24 & 26 x 26
This gives me a ratio of 1.333333 to 1.
At 9000rpm (redline), this would spin the input shaft at 12,000rpm, just over the spec peak of 11,840rpm.

Now if i add some internal engine work and now peak the engine top rpm at 9,500rpm, based on the above set-up, would spin the C15-60 at 12,667. Thats 7% over the peak RPM.

My questions
#has anyone had experience with spinning these SC over the peak suggested RPM?
# As a comparison, what gear ratio is the TTS which i believe runs the same S/C

Thanks for your help

I think Rotrex would know best what this answer is (and they have answered it by publishing the "peak rpm" for their supercharger).

In other words, you are looking at a bigger model if you are exceeding that spec.....beyond that I would expect excessive heat and diminished life span of the unit itself.

Thanks.
I need to speak to the local Rotrex supplier tomorrow. I guess I wanted to know what ratio the TTS runs.
