Burning your leg & pants? Motorcycle Gaitor With Heat Shield

I also posted this in another thread, but thought it may get buried & it deserved a thread of it's own.

I'm having an issue burning my leg & pants on my Indy pipe I recently installed (i'm 5'10"). I plan on wrapping the pipe & getting a sundowner seat to help the situation, but I also found these on e-bay after searching a bit:

I think some on here could find these usefull.

i understand what your trying to do but there has to be a better alternative without the dork factor. or just some other accesory changes weather it the seat hight, lower shocks, reduced reach foot controls or just adjusting your stance.

The Indy pipe sticks out a bit further from stock, couple that with a 30" inseam.
It's really not that bad, but it's something I have to keep a mind to while riding. I don't want to think about anything but what i'm doing while i'm riding.

I just ordered the sundowner to get me up & forward a bit. I'll probably wrap the pipe as well.

Don't have em on right now but rode the DX with floorboards for a year. Gave lots on options for moving your leg away from the pipe
