Painting the speedometer and riser?

I have a 05 b tht I'm in the process of blacking out. The riser and clamp and speedometer housing is grey. I haven't took anythin apart yet because I want to know if it's possibly to remove the speedometer from the housing to the point I'll be able to powder coat it. I posted a picture incase you are not sure because I'm not sure if I was using the correct words lol

Yes- have done it several times ... only a few bolts holding it together and a clip in module for the speedo.. Can either paint it (chips easily) or have it powder coated. Will have to paint the bezel black if you want as it is plastic or find a black one from the DX model
