the ignition switch does switch on two circuits in ignition setting and one of that is the acc circuit. i think the contact of the acc circuit is intermittent in the switch.
(hazard lights, running lights, brake light, gas level etc is on the acc circuit)
It's a pita job but it's 'serviceble'. there are copper slide contacts inside the switch. clean electric track inside and put new dielectric grease in it. should cure it.
the copper 'crams' are under light load of a small spring. the grease holds all up when assembling just take care when taking apart.
(maybe take care no to hit the switch too much when pressure wash)
