I ran into a couple of these this summer at Moat Mtn brew pub in North Conway NH. Eastern European old school BMW knock offs to be sure but still pretty cool. You may have not noticed in the video, but they can be optioned to come with a rear diff to the sidecar wheel & a reverse gear. You can see just see the silver half shaft & boot in the attached 1st picture.

I've ridden one, complete with guns, took it up and down a private air strip a couple dozen times and I just don't get it. Other than as a novelty, it has zero attributes. Slow, uncomfy, horrible steering, and average suspension...............and it was fockin' green too!

There is a wrong take on that thing. Is Humvee as comfortable compare let's say to Caddy Escalade? The same with Ural. Don't think it's going to ride like Road King... But take your RK and try to follow Ural off road.

Yes it looks ugly IMO but it's an utilitarian purpose built vehicle not a parade queen.

Plenty of USA Ural Dealers....but..... Do they have good maintenance service? I'd rather rent, then own.

I have a deep dislike for side car people, they are imbeciles in my book (not the racing ones of course thats different) and this is all based on my own experiences, there are a few of these idiots running around the canyons, all greasy, creepy pedio looking oldmen I would have not shed a tear over if they fell to their deaths in some kind of glorious suicide pact. I had a run in with one of these hobgoblin piles of shite a few months back, as traveling through some twists he was approaching me coming from a turn and did their little "Raise the side car up" carnival act they find so funny and witty to do to oncoming traffic. I saw him later that day and told him he ever did that again I would break his face for him the focking sweaty big nosed greasy focking shitehead. BIkes with Side cars, great lets bring back the Rumble seat next shall we.

A friend of mine sells and maintains them here in St. Louis. They seem to be built well (heavy duty) but I've never ridden one. I don't get the whole 3 wheel scene though. Maybe if I had a handicap and couldn't really ride anymore I might consider a Can Am Spyder or similiar machine. Off road, I prefer the 4 wheel ATV's to the 3 wheelers. To each their own, and to all a good ride.
Happy New Year!

Wrong take? Off-road? LOL! There are much better machines out there for off-road action. A side car is absolutely the last thing I'd want fockin' me up doing off-road riding. The very last thing. In fact I would rather take that RK.
It's just a novelty, period. And it's only a real novelty if you buy an original. Then park it and look at it. stroll it out for conversation at parties.

Well, I don't know. Thought Ural coulda been a neat toy for us living in the northern states and Cananada etc. Not the best off road but hwy capable, plus we would still get to ride all winter. I even seen a dream last night were I found web site that offers 240 with spikes on it, which made me pretty happy. Well, until I woke up. How long is it till spring again?
