Slipper Clutch

Okay so what's the deal with this slipper clutch?
Is it really worth upgrading to?
I'm sure guys who have it will say it's the best thing since sliced bread and those who don't have it will probably say it not worth it.
So what is the real deal?

I'm not sure I've heard anyone not agree it's a good upgrade.

No downside or trade offs really. Reduces clutch pull effort (less fatigue) and minimizes down shift lockup.

Considering the clutch comes with the plates etc... And is $200 or so it's a no brainer really.

next time you downshift at high speed and your back wheel locks up, you will wish you had done the upgrade.

Be safe.

How does the slipper clutch prevent that?

By allowing itself to slip, rather than the rear wheel locking up.

Most sportbikes have been using a slipper clutch for years. My new aprilia uses one as well, makes a big difference in deceleration..

The only negative I have heard is that 60' times can be a bit iffy at the strip.

Luigit,
Can you let me know what you think of it when you get it installed?
I've never thought twice about my clutch. It feels fine and seems to work well as it is but if there is something better out there...........

One reason I got it was for less (easier) pull on lever. I like I am happy with mine.
