Where are you routing your side-mount license plate LED wire?

I just installed a side mount license plate and noticed several people run them also. I have a few ideas about where I can route the wire but want to see what others have done. Obviously looking for the cleanest install with the wire not showing.

Thanks in advance

Through the left side of the swing arm. There are two rubber plugs in the arm. One in the front inside face and one near the left rear inside of the swing arm. In order to get your wire through the swing arm first pull the plugs out, blow compressed air through the front hole while feeding a piece of string through the hole. The air will force the string through he swing arm and out the rear hole, then tie your wire to the string and pull the wire through the swing arm and route wire between frame and gas tank on left side.

Ok, I did see those two plugs on the inside of the swingarm. That's a very clever method. I was thinking about using a magnet somehow. Thanks!!

One more question. Where did you guys tap the wires into? The factory license plate light wire? My electrical skills are lacking.

simply tie into the wire under the rear pillion that goes to (or went to ) to factory license plate bulb. This way the new license plate frame will function like the factory one did. Keep in mind that if you use a LED license plate frame that the polarity must be correct or the LED's will not work.

Ok, got it. So you removed the rear seat to access the wire?

my plate is mounted on the lower shock bolt and the wires go behind the shock and are zip tied to the left shock.

My current Hog Pro swing arm doesn't have the same access holes that my old stock one does so I ran the wires down behind the inner fender then out to the right side of the swing arm (my plate is one the right). then I ran it through the same retaining clip that the rear brake line goes through and out to the plate in a plastic sheeth.
