That is an awesome design, nice work! Can you give a description of the materials (machined aluminum vs. molded plastic, etc.)? This appears to be very robust, user friendly, and looks like it has more utility than the factory backrest and luggage rack.

The base plate, luggage rack and backboard are cast aluminum, the tower (two pieces that slides and fold )are cast iron and the sissybar pad is injected foam. The unit is powder coated.
Bolts are stainless steel and the pin locks are 1020 steel.

Where can we order and how many units do you have made for shipment? In other words, will you make more eventually if we can't get one on the first go around, or will this product disappear like the "unspoken" backrest?

I have no idea.I will check it out in a bike with holes and let you know.
In case the base plate doesn't cover the holes and just a little bit of the holes appears I can make a rubber pad bigger to cover them.

You can order it at betaniacdf@gmail.com at any time.Just mention in the order you are a 1130cc member.I have no intention to stop the production, because I am a little shop and I don't need big quantities to produce the kits.
I am working in detachable rigid saddlebags too and some more parts.
My goal is create a line of parts for V-Rod models.

What is your lead-time from placement of order? I'm currently looking at picking up a night rod special and if it doesn't already have the backrest and luggage rack I would probably go for this. Also, is the backrest spring-loaded so as to stay in place while folded down? Similar to the Corbin Rumbleseat.
