Have they given a reason? Is the motor going into something else? Are they sticking with the less powered air cooled motor?

Does this mean that prices will drop on vrods because they will cease production?? Were they not selling enough?

Being the highest performance, and arguably the most dependable engine Harley ever produced, my guess is that the Revolution engine will never be seen again.

The VRSC line was a failure. It didn't leak enough (low replacement oil sales), didn't break enough (hardly any repair bills), and didn't have enough chrome (not enough post-sale bling).

It never had a chance.

V-Rod Discontinued or is it?

"...Harley-Davidson got it wrong though, the market wasn?t young riders who could hang with their YamaHondaZuki pals, instead it was 30 something and up professionals or folks who wanted an American sport bike. It was hard to develop marketing for, and suffered because of it. Still, 10,000 units a year was nothing to sneeze at. What exactly the reason is, is still unknown at this time, and what will become of the technology is another. Many speculated that the platform could be morphed into a new version of the Sportster, or could have been used as research and development for something else?..or maybe it has already? The V-Rod discontinued?..maybe not."

I've been saying that for years , I'd be really interested in a Revolution motor morphed into a new version of the Sportster , I'd love to try that one on .

And it's a poor replacement for a Sportster,let alone a VRSC.

Of course, the only thing the Revolution and Revolution X engines share besides the name is coolant.
