Barnett idle throttle Cable loud squeak when twisting

Its always something...

Twist the throttle and it's a loud creak. I've looked at everything to make sure it wasn't some rubbing under the airbox or anything. It's definitely coming from rubbing within the cable housing.

I've tried some silicone lubricant, it seemed to help a bit, but it's still there.

I barely have any miles on these cable's (20 or so???). I wonder if they can swap em under warranty or is there something else to try? They were silent when I first put em on.

Thanks y'all
Matt

To my surprise when I tried the throttle this morning, it was smooth as butter and SNAPPED back for the first time in years of ownership!

The silicone that I sprayed into the tube (unscrewed the adjusters all the way and shot a spray in there) must have worked its way down the cable.

It's amazing. Even though the cables are "lubricated" from the factory, apparently, they miss a few of them. I adjusted the cables, reassembled the housing and bam. Thing works great! The throttle never snapped back from the day I got it until now.

After reading this thread last week I was inspired to check my cables. I had put new grips on and they weren't snapping back and then it dawned on me that they never snapped back. I've had my muscle new since sept last year. I you tubed videos on how to lubricate the cables. Glad I did, they were bone dry. Not corroded or damaged but definitely no signs of lubricant. Needless to say they are well lubricated and quite "snappy".
