Well i have not received the Exhaust yet in the mail, but i went ahead and ordered black exhaust wrap, and silicone exhaust wrap spray in black.... i read a lot of post on the danmoto exhaust over the last few days and one common complaint i kept reading was people saying they wish the heat shielding was better, because they keep burning their jeans on it.. or melting shoes... so i went ahead and ordered 50ft section to wrap the entire exhaust before i install it.. to wrap it all the way from from the rear tip to the head, bought the silicone spray because most stated the black color of the wrap melts off very quickly and the silicone paint makes the color perm and much darker black...

If DanMoto would drill the heat shields,I think they'd do a better job.

Wow..... doesn't that get a little pricey..... if the ceramic coat doesn't last that long I might take a look at another business to do it..... or a different pipe.....
I hope mine lasts longer then that....

It last, but I don't like the chalky look it gets after a while.

Man when you find it let us know, because I haven't heard of a black exhaust system that will keep the nice shiny black look after a year of riding.

From what I've read, these guys/their product works great and holds up well.

I will post how mine turn out. I just put on the Bassani Road rage 2 black. I had both the exhaust and heat shield ceramic coated. I also opted for the quiet baffle which turned out to be a good idea. They have a great sound but not too loud but still loud.

Well i got the stuff in, was a little upset about quality control on the pipes.. good thing im wrapping them.. there was a lot of deep scratches and dents in the pipes.. i bent them back out the best i could, then i repaired 2 areas with some high heat epoxy along the mating surface to the cylinder head.. then i sanded it smooth to match the surface...

These pictures and videos are from before i took it back off to spray them with the exhaust wrap black silicone... one thing i noticed was the tone of the exhaust got super deep after i wrapped them.. because i installed them just normal and listened to them before i went ahead and committed to wrapping them..

Look's & sound's good Reason I ask about the heat is that my wife made me a pad i call it that go's around half of my leg under my jeans to keep the heat from the turbo from burning my leg .My inseam is only 30 inches so my leg is kind of on the pipe the way she made it is grate and I would say it takes away at least 75% of the heat if not more off the turbo pipe and on my stock pipe's I just love it no problem with any kind of heat when stoped and have my leg aginst that third volume or on the pipe rideing . The way she made it is pretty slick you can add more to resist the heat or take it out and throw it in the washing mashine .Most of the time I just put it on and leave it on all day you forget about haveing it on. I got her to get the stuff to make 2 or 3 more When she get's around to making one I will pm you and get where to mail it to and see what you think of it . It may be a week or two before she make's it but soon as she dose i will let you know.
