I was surprised also. The parts dept could not order them directly. They had to go to Service for authorization then fudge the numbers in the computer. Took 3 weeks for tool to show up.
When I picked up the tool I also bought two shims figuring it will at least do one jug if not both. Turns out both jugs needed two shims. Took me about and hour. Next time it will take 10 minutes now that I know what to do and how to do it. Cost was $4.50 per shim. Highway robbery but H-D has one by the gonads when it comes to something like this.
Bike seems to be running fine. Put about 100 miles on it today with no incidents. Will now let it set for a couple of weeks and see what happens on startup.
