Saddle Bag Fitment

I tried searching, but struck out. Is it possible to take H-D soft saddle bags from a 2006 VRSCD and make them work on a 2006 Street Rod?
Thanks in advance.

Also, where can I find more info on Captain Jim's F bags?

Yes. Mod the d brackets under the fender. Bags are the same. Tiny.
I fitted F bags to my R. See my gallery. A couple of simple brackets, spacers, and bolts right up. Joe

As the Capt said ,"D" bags will fit your Street Rod, they're the same. Here's a pic of them mounted on mine.

It's the mounting backets that are different, and no longer offered on H-D's accessories webpage. So modding a set of the other models brackets is probably needed.

You might be able to find a set of brackets for the Street Rod on here or have a dealer search hdnet for available dealership leftover inventory.

R Bags

Tims Harley of anderson, sc has the bracket you need, I think. They have a set of r bags and the mounting bracket for an 06. I have been considering purchasing them for my 09 A model. I asked on here if I could buy them (the bags) and get a bracket for the 09 a and mount them, I never got an answer. I hope you do better than I did.
