Rod,
Until Sprintex can answer the mail on updates and corrective action on these, I still see motor killers. If they can prove to us the problems are solved, and warrant both the SC and any damage it does to the motor, I think we need to wait on them. Do you have a spare Vrod to put it on? Or, would this give you an excuse to have to fly out to vegas frequently? I have the AW waiting. Joe

Did Sprintex actually upgraded AND tested the kit afterwards or just added the modifications to their kits and voilā: lets keep selling them?

Cool

Just curious to know why a company this big with all their different models for cars and stuff would keep manufacturing something that will blow your motor up????? and continue to try and sell them..what really went wrong besides the bearing?maybe installed incorrectly?people are still buying these or they wouldnt make them .they just so happen to have 10 in aus. you could get one put it on and never have a problem and the next guy could have a shit load of problems. So now what?? testing is a great idea but 1 test bike may not be enough as stated by Capt J.

Also for them to warranty motors these would have to be installed by a cert. shop or dealer that they say not by individuals in there garage?? so unless somebody is or has It will not happen kind of like the stealerships we all love so much..

Easy, because people are willing to keep buying it and throwing money on their bikes and having their motors trashed for some is a kind of trophy as to how much
power was it capable of making

Have in mind that some people with deep pockets throw in a $hitload of money on their bikes and then ride them randomly, without getting any problems, but those that actually ride their bikes and treat them hard (the way it's supposed to be ) are the ones that might find problems later on. Those are the ones that Rod, Lane and Joe are trying to help in the long run, making these power adders a reliable investment and not a direct way of having to tear down your engine every couple hundred miles...

IMHO There is no way any of these companies will warrant a motor in any way, not even if installed by them. I guess what Rod is trying to accomplish is a warranty regarding parts of the kit in case they malfunction in some way even after proper install and use. That way if the motor fails, it's because if another weak link or by normal result of adding power, but not the failing of the parts of the kit itself that would induce engine damage, like a failing bearing throwing metal crap inside the motor and hence KABOOM! Now I'm out of here and let the people who actually know what they are talking keep the thread going...

I want to send one more e-mail before I pull the trigger.

I am going to go straight to the 1300 build with the S/C.

I really think we can get 5 to do this.

Did you read the e-mails posted in this thread:http://www.1130cc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=171977

See post 73/74.

I know you are out there where it is sunny all year. Here in Ohio it is cold.

How many are you going to buy? 1/2

What tuner are you going to use?

I have money from 1 costumer for 1 kit and second one still thinking but most likely he'll get it too. So it's 100% for one and kind of %50 for 2.
Tuner depends who will do installation either dyno jet or screaming eagle.

Also please note to Sprintex that we are on the same boat of getting those kits other ways i have been told today by Sprintex that there are too much interest in their kits and they might not have enough kits and the price might go up. (Its like we are bidding on the item on the auction that we both going to use) The currently have 5 ready to go. And i think we should get those 5.

No way they will cover the damage on the motor. So we just have to take our chances.

P.S I have been told it's revised version.
