Moto-charge/smart signals info from NFN !

Hi all

after riding for over 20 years and owning my DX since 2008 decided to set up a new brand called Digitek-moto technics and have all summer been designing products and have now set up production in the UK , been in many magazines and launched the brand at the international motorcycle show in the UK , i have distributors lined up in some European countrys (not USA yet ?) and have a network of dealers opened now in the UK.

it has been hard work and cost a fortune but wanted to let you know i have several products that may be of interest to you , i plan to offer 11300c members a forum discount in 2013 if you would like any of the products and shipping should be lost cost as product is small and light.

www.digitek-moto.com / plus digitek-moto Youtube channel showing products working.

power gauge is selling now
Moto-charge USB selling now
Smart Signals Jan 2013

Our Moto-charge has been designed with auto-shut off at 12.3v to protect your motorcycle battery from discharge as i wanted a product that worked while parked not via ignition !

i also wanted the product to be covert not on display as my concept was i wanted to pull up on bike pull my phone out of my pocket (as i prefer my phone to be on me in case of crash no attached to bike yards from me !) be able to plug my blackberry into lead and place under seat so that no-one knows i'm charging an expensive device so it cant be seen thus stolen ! this way i can chat with mates , and not worry someone will steal my camera or phone !

my freind has a v-rod muscle and has this fitted but uses his side HD bag and routed cable into this and charges his camera inside the bag , looking at the bike you would never know his $500 camera is in there charging ! plus this keeps the delicate USB connector away from the rain etc... have tested others and regardless of weather proof caps all have leaked and sent connectors green , mine has been fitted all year on test in the rain as too several others and are performing well and clean and dry.

Smart signals these will be ready Jan 2013 and are 100% waterproof as encased in clear resin again been tested all year on serval bikes (videos on youtube under Digitek-moto) front with DRL and autodim for signal operation , rear with integrated brake and tail , all have side marker lights double window and are anodised in silver and black and look great on my DX !

anyway just wanted to let you know what i've been up to and any feedback would be welcome , although i have designed these products with a set operation in mind i.e i did not want to produce a USB charger that attached outside the bike , these are out there already and as a rider myself did not want one that did this but wanted one that was hidden as i did not want cables outside the bike that then attached to expensive USB devices that could get stolen , plus i wanted to charge while i had stopped its just my take on what i wanted out of this product and many biker mates and now customers agree ! but like all products if you want something different there are other brands that cater for this.

cheers all !

I have a similar product on my Jeep and it has save my ass many times, but it has the auto shutoff at 11.6v. Good luck with your venture.

One question though. I see that you have a built in Apple charger. Any plans on offering a version with the new lightning adapter instead of the phased out traditional adapter?

Hi Our product is a USB just like on your laptop or PC we have gathered all the data to enable cable unlock (as a USB port just does not simply work on all applications as apple etc data lock) so it will charge anything that would or could plug into your laptop/PC

funny as i was selling "turn alert" products over 10 years ago to remind people they had left there signals on ! sales year on year dropped making it not possible to continue to produce as not enough volume to keep costs low.

Also, do your 4-1 and 5-1 signals come with a no heat load equalizer?

hi yes we have decided to include this with each pair and not charge extra like most do ! , ours is a single small box (tiny) that have single earth and each wire to left and right , so single product to fit rather than one each signal.

plus on the v-rod i fitted the rears and it do not require this , it seems it only needs this if you replace both front and rear , as leaving bulbs at the rear or up front means the system does not require load equalisers, we have fitted these to another v-rod and that was the same ! plus a ducati monster we fitted fronts and that did not require load equalisers and the flash rate was fine.

i would think most bikes will not need these if replacing just front or rears and have bulbs either end , but a full set would require our little box

if you check out youtube under digitek-moto we have videos of these working !

also bear in mind we have gone the extra mile (as it adds production cost) to make these waterproof , the whole reason these came about was because i had a set of LED signals fitted to my bike a brand in europe and they failed on me in the rain as they let in water and this will wreck any PCB LED board leaving me with no signals , so we think it was important to make a set that were waterproof for bikes that would last the distance this also means there are no vibration issues as the PCB is encased in clear resin , this is how good motorcycle alarms are made so its a proven production method and have been through tough salt water lab tests , plus being tested all year on our own bikes in the real world !

I am very interested in your black rear 5 in 1 smart signals for my 2012 VRSCDX. When will they be ready to ship this month and what special forum pricing do these puppies have??

Oh, and I would be glad to shoot some 18MP mounted product shots with my DSLR for you to use as fitted examples.

Thanks!

I'm ready to purchase a black smart signal set for the rear as soon as they are available! Especially with the discount!

Do let me know when they are ready to ship as I have been unable to locate signals that look and function at the level of these.

I really like the USB charger device and its simplicity.

hey thanks MagicGLI

when i set out to design it i wanted "simple" not on the bars or outside the bike but hidden as i would not want an expensive phone or camera on view for someone to nick it !

plus i want to charge while stopped more so (although it will charge when running/riding) as i like my phone on my person incase i come off and my bike ends up in ditch be nice to have phone in my pocket not on the bike ! (broken leg ? )

its got auto shut off as well so cant discharge your bike battery !

myotherworld

thanks Pal hope to see you soon on some rideouts !
