Fabster, what is truly unique anymore? Bling? You talk of heard and sheep, ect. but what look hasn't been done to death? Chromed out and colorful paint has been done since the MC was first chopped in the 50's and 60's and has been done to death and well beyond. The Chrome look is older than most of us and hardly "creative" or unique anymore, not for decades. Some are absolutely louder than others with the busy graphics, but nevertheless, same circus.
The 02 was probably as unique as I have seen in many moons buy it too was just a blast of silver singularity and a bit daintier than I care for. In all reality, and thru time, the blacked out look, although first introed in the late 70's, is the least used look, especially OEM. I don't need my bike to be pretty, especially at the absurd cost of chrome and fancy paint or the price of an SE/CVO.
I will admit however, a small fortune in chrome bolts, nuts, brackets ect. The small chrome accents are just enough bling for me and really stand out much better against all the different kinds of black.
Fabbie, your bike looks hot, nicely done for that genre, I'm sure you get compliments all the time. It's just not everybody's thing.
