If you're looking for V-ROD performance, Lou is where you'll find it. Great guy to do business with. He builds outstanding street and strip engines.
Thank you!

In a prior career we had a saying for our program development. Good, Fast, Cheap. Pick 2. The same applies to drag racing.

After getting the bike back and it performing the way it did I looked at AHDRA web site to see what times theses bikes were running these days. I have not been with AHDRA since 2008. Mine is still a little slow but its not dialed in yet and I have not caught up with the bike. I also need to loose a few pounds with the minimum weight being at 715 instead of 730 like it used to be. The bike and I are probably 10 to 13 pounds heavy right now.
Sounds great, Jeff. I plan on doing that myself when I rebuild my tranny and go through the engine this spring. Those drag times are pretty darn remarkable, even with the so called "excess" weight you feel you're carrying. I have found that more than a few people on this site, especially ones towards more "advanced" years who are finally financially able to get into this hobby, often tend to be a little more "weight challenged" than we were in our younger days. I am now up to 215, without leathers. Up from 195 which was my fighting weight before I quit smoking 4 months ago. My doctor is happy, my leathers and ET's are not. Other problem is that I am 6'5" which makes me dually challenged when it comes to fitting on a Destroyer. I'm going to be putting longer bars with less pullback on when I do my engine rebuild which will force me closer to the tuck I need.

Thanks for the updates. Look forward to hearing more about your progress.
