V Rod Mirrors

When I purchased my new 2013 V Rod I asked the dealer to change-out the stock mirrors with the Revco system that flashes on the back side and presents a flashing LED arrow on the mirror side.

I was told that the "Rivco system was incomatable with the system already in place. They didn't operate as designed."

Does anyone know of a work-around for this situation?

Thank you in advance ... Merv

Welcome merv. You did not specify year but I am betting that the led lights will not work unless you install a load equalizer. The equalizer is a resistor that makes the leds have same lamp load as the incandesent bulbs. It will require some cutting and splicing. They are sold by some of the vendors on here and places like J&P Cycle and Dennis Kirk.

As long as you do not do both front and back or all 4 blinkers to LED's, the system will still present a proper load.
