question about the alarm

2007 DX here with built in HD alarm.

How long can I leave the alarm activiated while the bike is parked without worrying about battery weakening? For example can I leave the bike 24/7 for say a couple of weeks with the alarm activated with no worries? A month?
Does the alarm battery recharge or must it be replaced?
Does the alarm battery run off of the bike's main battery at all?

Thanks in advance of replies.

It is all powered by the bike battery, the best thing to do is to hook it up to a Battery Tender and you wont have any problems.

I let mine go most of last winter without hooking up to the tender (I know, I know ) and it still had enough juice to fire up in the spring. My bike was parked in a warm environment though.

I use the tender once a week these days just to be sure.

Mine is plugged in whenever it is in my garage. Had starting issues in my first 6 months of ownership from new (long Story) after much time wasted at dearler and a lot of guessing on there behalf was suggested on this forum to connect a tender, and immediatley fixed the problem and never had a problem since.
