Didn't HD plan on the "F" being a touring bike originally? Seems as though I read something about that just can't remember where.

Something like this:

F is ugly? Hmmm, different yes, but ugly? All VRods looks the same to me EXCEPT F and NRS. To each their own. What is purdy for you looks like vomit in other people eyes...

Back on topic. So where is Hot Rod pedigree to be found in that new Gold Wing?

Yes and the photos you provided prove it, the bike is ugly WITHOUT the rear bags on it, that fender and seat are horrendous, with bags the bike makes sense

Maybe it was in plans. Obviously HD changed it's mind for some good reason. While the bags are still available (but how many Fs you see with bags???) that abomination up front is ditched all together as an option. If someone wants a bagger buy a real one. F supposed to be a sport cruiser in it's current form and that's what IT IS. Well like I said to each their own.

Here is another "F" that I found from our friends in the Forum "bagger" section..

I think if HD would do some kind of quick removal bag system - such as they did on the Switchback and change those Handlebars - they might be on to something. JMO

I sat on a Muscle at the dealer yesterday - the riding position is completely wrong for me. Perhaps if HD would make the postion more like the "A/AW" line. Handlebars for me are too far forward and low.

While I was buying my Triumph (who also sells Polaris, Honda and Yamaha) I was looking at the Goldwings etc.. with a friend of mine and commented on how terrible it is that all these Baggers etc... "still sport the footage of antennas etc... off the back end looking ridiculous and how my Automobiles for the last decade or so have a small shark fin on the roof to communicate with the outside world" and here Honda has boldly broken the dopey Antenna barrier and replaced it with a much smaller less intrusive antenna.

This new Goldwing Street Glide looks like a snowmobile.

It's the Goldwing F6B. Starts at 19,900 and change. I want to look
at it when the dealers get them in. Just looking......
