TAB auto tuner issues

Im running, supertrapp slip-ons with no baffles and the open cover so its as loud as possible, Im also running topless with the IAT sensor zip-tied into the lower box.

My auto tuner doesn't seem to 100% be handling the change from stock, its idle bounces from 1k to 1.5-1.8k, and it still feels like it stutters occasionally going down the road.

Is this the nature of the autotuner? or is it a possibility mines is faulty?

It could be your setup. Give Tab a call they are awesome and will work with you. I tried the autotuner but it didn't work for me.

Josh,

I have the EXACT same issue with my 2013 Night Rod Special. Too scared to ride it with these issues. I sent TAB a email(its the weekend). I'll have to call them on Monday. You get any response from them since?

I saw another member say that they had one and when they tried to go topless it ran like mine, so I have put the box top back on but haven't got to rid it yet to see if it fixes it.

TAB said it could be air getting in around the gasket thinks under the bottom intake box, or a bad throttle position sensor. He then said if they don't fix it I can by pass the auto tuner and see what that does.

Put the top of the air box back on and might have actually gotten worse at idle.

I'll pull it all apart one night this week and see if its the gasket things or the tuner itself

still having issues, I put the top on and it didnt help, I checked the 2 things TAB told me too and nothing then I swapped back my factory TPS to bypass the autotuner and it still ran bad, and when I say ran bad its 90% the idle it will jump from 1100-1400 like its got a big lopey cam in it.

10%being the occasional studder at slow speeds going down the road.

Also I noticed under the air box, the thing with hoses attached to it between the two plenums seem to be leaking oil?? is that normal?

kinda afraid Im gonna have to take it back to the dealer, and Im wondering if I need to take the autotuner and harness all the way out or if they will care.

still have issues, havent burnt the last bit of gas out so I can refill with more and see if it was just gas related. Its been really windy and cold here lately, and Ive been real busy with work.

There are other threads speaking about oil leaking on top of the motor. Here is one:
http://www.1130cc.com/forums/showthr...light=oil+leak

I did read another which I can't find now speaking of the bike running rough because of it. Check them out. Would like to hear an update. I just installed the tab auto tuner and tab slip on baffless pipes. Took it out for a 10 minute ride and felt really smooth so far. Way smoother at low speeds with the auto tuner installed.

I have just recently but the tab back slash slip ons, k & n high flow air filter and tab auto tuner on my 07 dx and it sounds and runs like a dream best mod I hand done ... The tuner I used had 10 preset maps in it that we're pre tuned to specific pipes used on specific model bikes... If you have this option could you possibly have the wrong map selected on the dial... Eg on my model rod with the back slash pipes and air filter I needed to turn the little dial using a tiny screw driver to map 7... Hopefully it's just simething simple like that.. If not tab were fantastic with there customer service,.. Even tho I am in Australia
