Ducati Diavel Strada

Looks like they made a touring version for 2013. Not a bad idea, but I'm not really sure hos passenger friendly this thing is going to be.

Oh Gawd! the addition of two of Lux's least favorite items, winshield and bags to one of his favorite rides. New seat looks like it might take you more than a couple miles though.

Looks like they just bolted on some bags and a screen, then called it a new touring model.

Are these accessories set up for quick release? Looks ok for the occasional day trip but not a sport touring bike.

I'd also be interested to know more about the saddlebag release mounting system. Looks like the bag release is interior.
Anybody with a Duck shop nearby?

Actually, I am curious to know, if all of it can be quick released. It looks out of place just like many other aftermarket add-on accessories. At a 130 miles, the Diavel has a small range which is not really conducive to a sport touring bike.

For the additional $500 you are getting heated grips, windshield, backrest and bags. Which is bargain pricing as long as you don't have to live with it all the time. Looks so out of place. They also changed the tail lights and I understand ABS is not an option on this model.

I normally can find things I don't like about something, but it's rare I find something I don't like anything about...except that.

Every manufacturer eventually caves in and goes where the money is.

One Hit Wonder?

A touring bike based on a cruiser derived from sport bikes? I'm afraid somewhere along the line the thread is lost.
But then I love my VRSCR which is a sport standard based on a cruiser based on a drag bike, erm...

Ducati has punched this tarbaby before, which brings me to R. Dean Taylor's 1970 top ten rock n roll hit with a bullet...

....Indiana Wants Me (lord I can't go back there!)
