Question 06 VRSCD - Stripped/Loose Handlebars

Hey All,

Just got done with a big move from NC to IL. Had the movers load my 06 VRSCD in the trailer for the trip.

Well, after they unloaded it and tucked it into the garage, I noticed the handlebars are now loose. That is, the handlebars will rotate forward or back towards you if you apply enough pressure.

Is this something where I can try to tighten the handlebars? If so, can you advise the process? I did some looking online and did not come up with much.

My tools and service manual are still boxed up in a storage unit, so I am really hoping someone can help out.

Thanks!

The handle bar clamp has 4 allen screws in the center. Looks like they're under the instrument pod.

Should be fine just needs tightening. The gauge cluster hinges, remove one screw and the cluster hinges open and you have access to the clamp screws.

Thanks for the help, all!

I was able to tighten the 4 allen bolts on the bar clamp and the handlebar is solid once again! I was a bit surprised how loose some of the bolts were, so glad I got them tightened down.

Thanks again!
