Got home safely, marathon drive, I left Belle Rose at 6am, stopped for 5 hours sleep in MD, then continued north, the NJTPK was a breeze (literally), zero traffic to exit ten, got fuel before the run on gas started, the service plazas were all running on generator power and had fuel, but not for long as we see in the news today.
I am glad I continued quickly through the area rather than wait a couple of days. Arrived home at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, no major issues at our house, Marie lost power for about 5 minutes at most.
Spent the rest of the day & Wednesday unpacking and getting back to normal, catch up on budget postings.
Returned to work on Thursday, all is good, my co-workers took care of most issues while I was away, a great thank you to them as well. Several of my associates in NY & NJ are with out power, but did not have substantial losses as many other have experienced, they are blessed to say the least.
It was a great final race in Super Gas, glad I had the chance to go that far in eliminations, Dennis is a good competitor & gentlemen as are all the racers in AHDRA!! Can't wait for 2013.
I'll spend the winter getting the bike ready for another race season.
Enjoy your stay in the south and the CUP Race, hope you did not get too much storm damage or snow back home, is every thing OK?
