Sculpture Cycles

On August 18, 2010 I ordered a set of black No Limit Custom "Stealth" brake and clutch levers for my 2009 DX from Sculpture Cycles of Mesa Arizona. When I ordered, Marcus Bucklemund (the owner) told me the wait was approximately 10 days from Germany upon him making the order. Well, it is January now and nothing. Yes, I have contacted him in the interim, and was given platitudes. While I hesitate to call this fellow an out and out criminal, I would urge all of you to exercise caution when dealing with Sculpture Cycles. There are others on the internet who claim he owes 10's of thousands of dollars to people yet he allegedly lives quite well. I CANNOT confirm this however.

What I can confirm is that I still don't have my ****ing levers.

They look like nothing more than a dealer or middle man for German aftermarket parts. I would think with this forum's connections you could forego their added markup to get parts direct? Sorry about your luck though, have they dealt on the forum in the past?

#3 ·
Yeah, maybe I could have. I did start a thread before I ordered and asked if anyone had ever dealt with them before. Unfortunately, the thread descended into a series of critical responses to one of the female models he had on his website versus any information I could use. Worst case, I am out about $330. Best case, they could arrive tomorrow. But I have been saying that to myself for 5 months.

Has your card been charged? Find someone else to order from after checking they are still available. File a dispute if needed.

I have also ordered some Rizoma bars that are coming from Europe about 6 weeks ago thru another vendor from the states. I was told upfront that because of the way Europeans have an obscene amount of holiday/vacation around this time of year it was going to be at least 6-8 weeks before they shipped. Just throwing that out there to hopefully ease your mind a bit.

In holland most have one week off between chrismas and new year. The headoffice (italie) i work for have two and a half weeks off ending this week. (The rizoma is manufactured in italie).
Postage is even more wors global around these times a year. It took 19 days for my board to arrive in Singapore, but that can be customs whats holding. The US usualy takes about 10 days but seen more and less. customs time sux...

Interesting...

I just got an e-mail from Marcus Bucklemund.

Loren, I totally understand your frustration, I've got a lot of unhappy customers lately.

The shipment is in CA now, headed our way, so it should be here any day now.

Best Regards,

Marcus Bucklemund

I also just sent an e-mail to NLC in Germany. Just before the e-mail from Herr Bucklemund arrived. I responded with a request of a tracking number. Below is my e-mail to NLC Germany.

Sir,

On August 18, 2010 I ordered a set of No Limit Custom "Stealth" brake and clutch levers for my 2009 VRSCDX from Sculpture Cycles of Mesa Arizona, U.S.A.. Today is January 6, 2001. I still have no levers.

It is not my expectation that No Limit Custom address this problem of non-delivery. However, I do want No Limit Custom to be aware that this company (Sculpture Cycles) and its owner Marcus Bucklemund are taking payment from customers for No Limit Custom parts and are not delivering these parts.

Warm regards,

Loren ******
Richland, Washington

Time will tell.

You may want to ask for a tracking number to make sure that the shipment is really in CA now.

From being in Germany for the last 2 years, I've noticed they have more holidays than you would believe.

that and when ordering stuff from the states, some times takes 2 weeks some times takes 4 months. Would make sense that it works the same going the other way.

some times all you can do is call, +049 06268 - 92 89 999 (No limit customs)
Wish you would have brought this up earlier, is only a hour and a half away from my old house.

Keep on um boss

I have tried to give Sculpture Cycles the benefit of the doubt on all this. Maybe it does, like Lagfest suggests, actually take 4-5 months to get stuff given the holidays at al. When and if, they arrive, I will give proper kudos to Sculpture Cycles. Until then, I will not relent. Thanks guys.

I work for a Finnish company and I can tell you that while they do have alot of holiday time, they work circles around Americans. At least in Finland. My components take 12 weeks to build from there and are shipped promptly in ship containers. Unless NLC is a guys garage, you should have had these a loooong time ago. And dealing with German customers, they are prompt and prideful in their products. So I doubt that the delay is from Europe. My 02!

? say what? On another note, any recommendations out there for an insurance company to go with for my vehicles? If this thing goes the legal route and I have to retain my attorney to fight them, I'll be dropping all of my insurance with State Farm even if it costs me more in premiums to do so... I've been with State Farm for 18 years and have only made three claims in that time... Two for the house and this motorcycle...

Insurance companies are thieves. My bike was worth @$18,000 (KBB excellent condition, plus add-ons) and they paid me $12,000. I told them to send the check and laugh all the way to the bank because they had robbed a judge.

On the PI, they inched up their offers to $37,000, but when I paid a back specialist $1500 for a written permanent partial disability, they came up to $50,000. That was the best investment I've ever made.

Urgent Caution - Dont do Business with them

Sculpture Cycles in Mesa, Arizona took $19000 from me. I took him to court and won. He wont pay. He went bankrupt to avoid paying. Found out he owes $98000 to over 20 creditors. I set up a website to publicise the problem. What does he do...........converts his business to an LLC.

Take a look at www.sculpturecycles.co.uk

He is a master scammer. I am not trying to slag them off. The evidence speaks for itself. They are real crooks and deserve to be put out of business. Check out the website. Court records and bankruptcy petition is all there for inspection. He keeps $100,000 in cash at his home address at 1030 W. 5TH Place, MESA, Arizona, but is protected by the legal system

I am going to step on a limb and say if he is a biker in AZ and people know he keeps 100k in cash at his house then the AZ legal system isnt protecting him, I would say a "different type" of system is. Just my .02. :banghead:

S@&%$ this happened to you though.

He must have a "Brotherhood security system"!:hidesbeh:

Yup, you have to be skeptical about anybody who wears magic underwear. Sorry about your problems. At this point maybe you should file a police report. Perhaps you may have some recourse through your bank since you put it on your debit card. I had some luck that way when my card was used fraudulently.

I got the bike from that company. Was riding it few days ago and start feeling something not right so i pulled over and see that the rear wheel came loose. So i took the bike to the shop and look what i find out. After removing the covers that covered rear arm i see that the rear wheel is hold BY 2 SMALL BOLTS ???????
I was risking my life by riding this bike.

This is the same company that makes the custom airbox, which after shipping cost me over $800. I actually ordered through Ghostrider Customs. GRCustoms sent me an email stating it would ship in about a week. Here I am in week 4 and no airbox. I had asked repeatedly who was making the airbox and GR would not tell me. It only took the internet and a little detective work to trace everything to Sculpure Cycles. SC doesn't return phone calls, email, anything. I would steer far and clear of that company.
