My first oil change on my 2007 Night Rod. Pic is of oil pan plug and it looks like its missing an o-ring or copper washer. Previous owner had Teflon tape around the threads. Is it missing something? Thanks...
Just fine, I use it too.
Take advise about plug serious, many have over tightened to their horror and expense.
Notice extreme amount of thread relief adjacent to flange area, that coupled with thin housing means very little length of thread engagement, plus soft material makes it easy to strip.
Thanks for heads up on overtightening. Got a little for minute. Thought previous owner may have used the Teflon tape because they stripped it but its fine. Bolt goes in an tightens. Thanks for the help.
