Steve, I'm trying to create a group buy with Convertibars for the inverted forks. Showa blows me off trying to get the upper tube outside diameter. I'm out of the country, need the exact dimension for the CNC. These mount between the triple trees. Thanks Doug

    Hi Steve,
Everyone says you are the electrical guru. Thank you for all the help you give everyone. I can not find anything about my issue, & I can't find any chafed wires. I am thinking my TSSM shorted internally: the fuse keeps blowing. I out in a fuse, turn the ignition on, the fuel pump pumps, then the fuse immediately blows. Codes are U1064 & U1255. The fuse does not blow if the TSSM is unplugged. 2002 VRSCA.
I leave for Laconia on Sat, so I need to figure this out ASAP.
    Thank you
    Jim

-is my i.m. The problem, a short circuit due the washing or rain ? Reason why the clock do not work ?
-is the o2 sensor´s failure to read ? How to test it ?
-is the ecm´s failure to manage the fuel mixture ? How to test this ?
-is the fuelpack´s failure due to a short circuit or battery issue ?

As you can imagine for me this is very stressful cause we do not have any h-d dealer in peru and if i have any problem i should resolve it with my service manual and ask the parts to some friends in the u.s., or send my bike in a truck to lima (2,000 kms. Away from here) and ask to some guy not official h-d dealer, just h-d mechanical enthusiast to do his best effort to resolve this .

That´s why for me your inputs are so important .

Many thanks in advance stever ...

(continuation )i don´t know if they are there since i have install the fuelpack and v&h slip ons one year ago or this is new since i have a battery discharged and forced to work with two guys pushing the bike down street one week ago, i disinstalled the battery and make it charged to 12,7 v. And since then i found this codes coincidentally with the knowledge about to read the dtc´s. I have call to v&h and they said to me to disconnect the fuelpack (not needed to re-connect the oem pipes) clear the codes and see if the dtc´s appear again , i did it and found only the code p0132 and besides i could realize that the left pipe always was more stained with carbon than the right pipe end, what should be the next step in this search ...

Dear dr. Stever ( i was checking your previous comments and i could see you have an impressive body of knowledge with electronic isues , my deepest respect and recognition ) i beg your counseling :

I got some problems with my v-rod muscle 2010 here in peru, i bought it brand new and i assume after 4 years the battery got old and i had some electric issues too, my i.m. Have shown some signs of malfunction, the tachymeter light stayed on when the engine was off, the clock is not possible to set up the time even following your advise in previous post and remains in a tilting 12:00, and i just learned how to read the dtc´s with your precious review of the topic and found the dtc codes p0132 and p0152, (continue)

Sorry I missed this but I noticed from reading other posts that you got this sorted out. "Visitor Messages" don't show up like PMs so I didn't see it til now.

Hi Steve ,I recently had new tires put on and befor I took the wheels off I marked everything and noticed the bike steering felt sensitive so I am in my garage working on now and noticed the two adjusters where mounted opposite of each other should both be mounted the same way and the belt marks what is the ideal setting with the guage on the lower belt.

I didn't get your email message. It could have been flagged by the firewall as SPAM. I also just now saw this "visitor message". I don't notice these as well as a PM (they don't generate a pop-up). The HD customer service phone number is 800-258-2464 (Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, CST).

I am having problems installing the digital guard dawg. I am not getting power and my antenna is sparking. Any help is greatly appreciated. Your wiring diagram is easy enough. I almost want to cut my deutsch connector and wire it direct.
