Sorry to tell you, but I wouldn't bother now. It only lasted about a year. Started off beautiful and then became crackle finish and then evolved to chalky brown. I now have a chrome cover. I believe the gasoline must leech through the plastic which is what caused the problem. Perhaps a real chrome process would do the trick but it costs much more. The process I had done was called Cosmichrome (spray on) and the guy in my area no longer exists.

Hi there! I'm interested in getting my fuel tank for my 2003 V-Rod chromed like yours. Can you send me the contact info for the guy who did your tank? I have the stock 3.5g tank. Thanks for your help!

    Hi Beek,

Toronto eh! I used to live in the High Park area, while working in Mississauga.

I just bought a 03' Vrod :) Now, I'm looking to add some chrome saddle bags. I spent numerous hours searching the web for two chrome bags... now known as 'Beetle Bags'. I came across your post and WOW, they are exactly what I'm looking for!!!

Its awesome that your in Toronto as well... Canadian roots. I often fly through TO on business and have family in the area, if I need some running around done. Can you point me in the right direction of how you created your bags?

Where did you buy the bags?
Where can I get them chromed?
    Costs involved?

Your help and input is 'Greatly Appreciated"!

    Cheers,
    Mike Roberts
