What we learned after my incident from various sources, including MT engineers who viewed the video of the incident, was - use of Permatex Hi-Tack (brush on, not spray) to secure the bead to the rim and running a higher tire pressure than we did with the Dunlop - maybe as much as 4 lbs higher should be adequate to prevent slippage. In my incident, the slippage occurred long after lockup, so softening the static probably wouldn't have helped. Let me know if you're interested in my new MT.
