    Now I understand the meaning of the latter half of your sig "CAVU", hearing the VP give his remarks at he Capitol rotunda this afternoon.

    Thanks for the note. What we learned after my incident from various sources, including MT engineers who viewed the video of the incident, was - use of Permatex Hi-Tack (brush on, not spray) to secure the bead to the rim and running a higher tire pressure than we did with the Dunlop - maybe as much as 4 lbs higher should be adequate to prevent slippage. In my incident, the slippage occurred long after lockup, so softening the static probably wouldn't have helped. Let me know if you're interested in my new MT.

    I've been looking at this with some interest, as I am switching to the M/T after I rebuild my "broken" tranny. The snip from the Race Pak data shows that the clutch is hitting really "hard" assuming the second line from the top is RPM. If there was any slippage to be had on the rim, that kind of launch would certainly provide it. I would look at softening the static settings? Just a thought.
