Herr. Monk 04-28-2008, 06:44 PM Has the model undergone any changes since it was conceived?
The HD site has info up from 06 still... Are they all 06 year model or just unchanged from 06...
Sorry if that's a silly question, I just never heard about the new 2008 features...
rjrivero 04-28-2008, 06:48 PM The destroyer? I understand it was a limited run and there are no more new ones made. 2006 was the only year the destroyers were built.
Bingo! We have a winner.

vrodracing90 05-01-2008, 04:58 PM Well, they made about 615 destroyers and there are some dealers that still have some. Some are new or new in the box. Some dealers have raced them and are selling them. It would be nice it they would build another version of it. I have one. It is a great bike.

Google V-Rod Destroyer. The HD US site has a nice picture of it. Built in 2006 only, a 9 second, 1300cc drag race bike built by HD for the strip only.

Scotty:
Without knowing exactly how many were "fired" so far this spring it would be difficult to determine what the exact number is of the remaining "unfired" ones.
My estimate is essentially the same--about 55-60 (+ -) that are "unfired" at this point and the number will go down as more are put into racing service.
FWIW: From what I was told by a freind that works for Harley is that 625 were built.
Pat and I are sitting on ours --for now.
Besides they look good in the garage.
Glad to see you got back safely. Hows the hangover??? I am positive that David is a professional drinker and would be a force to be reckoned with.
Regards
Jerry
mwdhand 05-05-2008, 10:04 AM There's one still on the showroom floor in Bedford, TX. The price has been going down and down. last time I looked (months ago) I think it was under $24K.

JerryAs the beginning of March 2008 there was over 250 that were still un registered destroyers.
V-Rod I FL 05-09-2008, 07:39 PM I will concede that it would be very difficult to know how many of those "unregistered" Destroyers (250) are unfired. Many of the dealers fired theirs up and went racing. We will only know when they are sold as used.
There are 26 on the Cycle Trader Internet site with prices ranging from $22k up to $31,995.
So if everybody keeps sharing what they learn we just may be able to get accurate "Unfired" numbers.
PLEASE feel free to provide factual input like vrodracing90 and others are doing.
rail240 05-09-2008, 09:03 PM Hi Jerry,
Alll is good thanks, been back a few weeks now and I have almost settled back in again. David must have been behaving that week because I hardly saw him drink at all :D
