: vrod custom seats
BitchinSeatCo 04-28-2008, 04:29 PM Hey
This is Blake from Bitchin Seat Co.
I just wanted to let everyone know that we now have vrod pan molds in stock for the 07 and up.
I have posted on here a few times and the response has been great. But it is so hard to get back to all the questions so below is a run down of what we are about and what we create. If you have any further questions got to our web site Bitchinseats.com and click the contact us tab.
I also see a lot of people need to be moved back and into the vrods and we have worked with many guys from the NBA so keep us in mind if you’re taller.
Now a quick briefing:
We specialize in manufacturing and custom one off motorcycle seats, setting off your bike from the rest. We create a low profile meticulously shaped seat and offer our Ultra Light Nitrogen Air Gel, which allows you to achieve the up most comfort for those long rides. Our custom design work now comes to play, complimenting your style of bike, paint, and or graphics. Our styles range anywhere from a sleek cut of high quality leather on an Impression Seat to the most elaborate exotic hides. Our most popular upgrades are Sting Ray, Shark, Bull Shrunken Shoulders, Ostrich, Alligator, Furs, and many other combinations of design, stitching and inlay. For our customers out of the region with custom bikes, we offer our Bitchin Fit Seat Pan Kit; our kit comes complete with step by step instructions. When completed you than just forward the seat pan and the work order provided for all your final designs. We than foam, shape, and cover to your specifications making a one of a kind Bitchin Seat with the highest quality, which makes us stand out and you satisfied with best.
Please keep in mind that we are a custom seat shop and we generally cater to those who build or own high quality motorcycles. We are known for our high quality and our seats are not for everyone.
You can see our work at our web site Bitchinseats.com and can contact us through there as well
Hope to hear from you soon and Take Care

Sweet, just go easy on these guys here since most of them don't have NBA incomes. :angeldev:
bigjim50010 04-29-2008, 12:55 AM discount for forum members?
BeelzeKnut 04-29-2008, 07:17 AM Price for the pictured seat?
thumbsupracing 04-29-2008, 07:21 AM I think I saw it on the site for $900
spinedoc 04-29-2008, 07:23 AM That seat in the picture looks awesome. If you mass produce it at a reasonable price I would definitely want one.
Also please note that many on here use a fender baseplate to attach sissy bars and luggage racks. Have you fitted your seat onto a vrod with a baseplate?
Looks awesome, can't wait to have the opportunity to order one.
mnerren 04-29-2008, 07:24 AM Price for the pictured seat?
Web site says it is on sale for $900 + s/h.

Maybe for a custom seat, but I find it hard to believe a mass produced seat would be this expensive. The CFR seat was grossly overpriced, and that was still much less than 900.
EZE RIDER 04-29-2008, 07:38 AM " Ultra Light Nitrogen Air Gel" I dont know what the hell that is but it sounds great!
thumbsupracing 04-29-2008, 07:39 AM For $900 it better feel like magic fingers on your ass...
BeelzeKnut 04-29-2008, 07:49 AM $900 is a tad pricey, but if it would fit with my baseplate AND be more comfortable than my stock seat (which I think is great) AND put me back an inch or so...I might still get one somewhere down the line.
But I like the looks & feel of my stocker, so this is definitely more of a "maybe, some day" than a "definitely, now".
EZE RIDER 04-29-2008, 08:21 AM For $900 it better feel like magic fingers on your ass...
Agreed!
I will admit it appears to be of very high quality and made to the highest standards but it is still overpriced.
I'm not trying to hurt this guys business and I don't think I am. His customers are people who fall in love with it and have to have it no matter what the cost.
Kieron 04-30-2008, 10:48 AM I'm in if the price comes down. Also will it fit the baseplate?
RicoSuave 04-30-2008, 11:05 AM I thought the Corbin on my R was outrageously priced??? :banghead:
Neo541 04-30-2008, 11:55 AM Well, I guess the group buy that Rich and I were discussing seems to be out, good luck Blake!
Neo541 04-30-2008, 11:57 AM I think I saw it on the site for $900
That was for the "up to 2006" seat. The 07 Blake said was $1200-$1400.
RidePhat 04-30-2008, 12:06 PM For $900 it better feel like magic fingers on your ass...
No kidding, especially since you just took a pounding on the deal!
WI Bob 05-04-2008, 01:24 AM " Ultra Light Nitrogen Air Gel" I dont know what the hell that is but it sounds great!
I think it neutralizes methane!
as i'm one of those "taller riders" I'd be interested in a custom solution... but for 900 bucks i'd rather buy a used Augoura seat (which sells for a bit less) and have it redone.
BigNunz6 06-14-2009, 09:31 PM WOW! Just checked the web site and seems like 1200 bucks is the price....thats alot of coin for a seat...it says that it will fit with the HD sissy bar base plate..
Busterbrown 07-04-2009, 09:26 AM I had a seat custom built at Rich`s Custom Seats for my 2009 Softail. The differnace was amazing. They rebuilt the stock pan with foam and custom shaped it to your ass. and riding position. They installed a gell pad and finally cover it with a high quality leather. I was there the whole day but the seat was amazing. I highly recommend them for getting any seat done. The cost was approx $600 for the whole job. This was by far the best money I have ever spent on accessories, and I have spent a ton!!! I will be getting them to work on my new Muscle very soon.

600 would be great if that was the price for the DX seat, the one in the picture. 1200 Is really really kind of steep. I love the way it looks and have been thinking and thinking about getting it but just cant justify 1200 bucks...
badco61 12-30-2009, 11:05 PM wow 1200 beans for a seat not for me . ill stick to my Reach
cappi785 07-07-2010, 08:24 PM Dear Bitchin Seat Company,
I sent you multiple emails, and left multiple voice mails, and never heard back from anyone at your company. I was trying to contact you to build a custom seat for my 2004 VRSCB. If you never respond to my emails or calls, at least respond to this post. Why didn't anyone from your company call me back or return an email?
Mike
hafnutz67 07-07-2010, 09:22 PM I wouldn't hold my breath for a response on here from them. Their last activity on the forum was 1/29/09.
i sent an email to them and got a good and polite response the next day , and eventually basically they will put the wide frame seats into production and lower the price acording to the email i got back ,just wish they could put a date on it and a price
CPTJAM 09-19-2010, 11:57 PM 1200 bucks! Any upholstery shop can redo a seat for much less. NFW. I don't care if it cures cancer - too much money! Joe
yeah but joe ,is it that much really compared to the loss ur gunna suffer if u sell the bike cos u cant stand riding it ,and if an upholstery shop could do a just as good a seat wouldnt Jerry at AMSSS have done that with the gel mould ,all im saying is ive wasted more money seat hoping than if i had have bought this in the first place ,and finally my ass does feel happy sitting on my bike ,6 seats later ,grrrrrr, and im not saying it not a lot of money cos it is ,,but was it a worth while spend ,i think it was .,as long as we solve this small problem i have at the moment , i have lost far more money than 1200 on this bike ,on 3 things i can think of straight of the top of my head ,lol, but dont tell my wife that ,
dig10 01-15-2011, 11:06 PM "compared to the loss ur gunna suffer if u sell the bike cos u cant stand riding it "

interstink 03-15-2011, 03:05 PM VROD Exotic StingRay
Im selling this seat on ebay atm. Uses the stock seat pan but I did have the foam shaved down a bit for extra comfort.

05BVRod 03-15-2011, 08:47 PM I want a seat for my 05 from you folks but have to wait for the wife to select a bike for herself. Gotta keep the sissy bar and touring pinion for now.
SickRick 03-15-2011, 11:12 PM Anyone notice the brake pedal is broken off on the bike in the OP's photo?
Guy can afford a $1,000 seat, but not a $50 set of rear axle covers...
Yeah, I'm a nit-picker...
Now, if he can make a seat using the hide of my last ex-wife - we'd be talking...
Rick
FABSTER 03-18-2011, 01:53 AM I guess that if they really ever lower the price, it would be maybe some $50, 'cause even if they mass-produce them, if they lower it to the range most of us would be willing to pay (half of the $1,200), you can bet Brett makes an intercontinental trip kayaking on his seat and craps their faces after what he paid and suffered to actually fit it perfectly... I would!!!! LOL!(although Brett says their service was top-notch and helped him even from the other side of the world)
